Celebrating the Wales Regional Events — FIRST LEGO League Challenge: Unearthed

FIRST LEGO League Challenge teams from across Wales came together in February to compete in the exciting Unearthed season at two fantastic regional events delivered in North and South Wales.

The North Wales Regional Event took place on 12 February at Denbigh High School, where six teams impressed judges and spectators alike with their innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Later in the month, the South Wales Regional Event was held on 26 February at the iconic St Fagans National Museum of History, welcoming 16 teams for another inspiring day of robotics competition and project presentations.

Across both events, young people demonstrated exceptional creativity and technical ability as they designed, built, and programmed LEGO® robots to tackle complex challenges, while also presenting research projects linked to this seasons theme of archaeology.  The energy, teamwork, and gracious professionalism on display showed the strength of STEM talent growing across Wales.

We extend our sincere thanks to our volunteer judges, whose time, expertise, and encouragement ensured a high-quality and rewarding experience for every team.  Their support is invaluable in making these events possible.
