Celebrating the North Wales Regional Final of the STEM Racing Competition

EESW STEM Cymru was delighted to host the North Wales Regional Final of the STEM Racing Competition for secondary schools on 10 February at Denbigh High School.

The event brought together 17 teams from 10 schools and colleges across the region for an exciting day of innovation, teamwork, and high-level engineering challenge.  Teams showcased months of dedication as they designed, built, and raced their miniature cars, alongside presenting their portfolios and demonstrating their understanding of the engineering design process.

The atmosphere throughout the day was electric, with students demonstrating outstanding creativity, problem-solving ability, and collaboration.  Events like this highlight the strength of STEM talent across North Wales and the importance of hands-on learning experiences that inspire future engineers, designers, and innovators.

We extend our sincere thanks to our dedicated volunteer judges, whose expertise and time ensured a fair and professional competition experience for all participants.  Their support plays a vital role in making these events possible.

We are also especially grateful to Denbigh High School for generously hosting the regional final and providing such a welcoming and well-equipped venue for the competition.

Congratulations to all teams who took part for their enthusiasm, professionalism, and commitment.  We look forward to seeing the continued progress of these talented young people as our regional qualifiers prepare for the National competition later in March.
