Bright Sparks

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working on something exciting, our Circuit Explorers workshops! Currently being delivered in schools across Swansea and West Wales, it’s a hands-on, engaging experience for young learners, and it’s been fantastic to see it come to life.

The workshops are all about sparking curiosity.  Pupils get the chance to explore circuits in a practical, interactive way using Snap Circuits, testing ideas, building simple systems, and learning by doing.  There’s been a real buzz in the classrooms, with students asking great questions, experimenting confidently, and learning all about semi-conductors!

This has been made possible by the support from CSconnected, whose sponsorship has helped us bring these sessions directly into schools.  Their backing has enabled us to inspire nearly 200 students so far and we haven’t even visited all the schools involved yet!

What’s been especially rewarding is seeing how quickly pupils engage with the workshops.  Even those who might not have considered an interest in technology before are getting involved, collaborating with classmates, and building confidence as they go. It’s a great reminder of how powerful hands-on learning can be.

As we continue delivering sessions, we’re looking forward to visiting even more schools and inspiring the next generation of engineers, problem-solvers, and innovators!
