Using our Micro:bit kits, pupils will take part in our exciting Space Missions:

  • Mission: M1CR0- 1 & 2 Timing Test: Pupils code and test a timing game to see if they could respond as accurately as an astronaut in orbit.
  • Mission:M1CR0 3 Space Debris Defence Game: Pupils debug and enhance a space-themed arcade game where they must protect Earth by shooting falling debris from old satellites before it reaches the planet.

How it works

This workshop introduces pupils to space technology, the history of space exploration, and the importance of coding in real-world engineering.  Pupils use micro:bits to develop coding and problem-solving skills while learning about teamwork, testing and debugging.

This workshop is suitable for progression steps 3 & 4 and lasts for approximately 2 hours for a class of 30 pupils, a shorter 1 hour session is also available.

Full day £495 (to accommodate 2 standard workshops), 2 full days £850, 3 full days £1200.

Timings and dates can be discussed when booking the experience, half days available on request.

Fully funded workshops are available for secondary schools in Ceredigion, Wrexham and Conwy through our UK SPF project.
