In this BBC Micro:bit workshop, pupils are guided through a series of challenges where they will write code using Javascript or Python to move a Microbit robot through a series of tasks. Pupils will then program a transmitter and receiver to create a remote controlled robot to compete with one another, adjusting their code throughout to improve their robot's performance.
This workshop can cater for up to 30 pupils and lasts approximately 2 hours. EESW will provide laptops for the pupils to use or the workshop can take place in the school's computer room if preferred. A projector on which to display instructions and a small amount of floor space where the pupils can test their robots will be required.
