EESW / STEM Cymru would like to congratulate all schools that took part in the Engineering Education

EESW / STEM Cymru would like to congratulate all schools that took part in the Engineering Education Scheme Wales 2011 – 2012.

The award and presentation days held at Venue Cymru, Llandudno and The Celtic Manor Resort, Newport in March were a huge success, with over 1250 people attending.    There were some excellent solutions to the engineering problems presented, as well as fantastic displays from all the teams.

Over 50 local companies attended the North and South Wales events to exhibit and talk with the students about the opportunities open to them if they were to choose a career in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.

The South Wales event featured a full scale model of the 1,000mph Bloodhound SuperSonic Car (SSC), along with a simulator which was very popular!

Some of the schools which took part in our F1 challenge were also there, racing their model cars and displaying their design process.
