Female students from Hawarden High School and Alun School, Mold, visited the Airbus Broughton site as part of the Girls into Engineering Scheme, run by EESW. Students saw advanced engineering and modern manufacturing at work in Airbus’ West Factory, where wings for the Airbus A380 are made. Beth Pickering, quality conformance engineering apprentice was one of the volunteer hosts.
She said “It’s great to meet future talent. I enjoyed sharing my experiences with them and giving them insight about the job and hopefully encouraged their enthusiasm to consider a career in engineering”
