Girls Visit Airbus!

In March 2011, thirty girls from Ysgol Maes Garmon and Ysgol Glan Clwyd visited Airbus, Broughton as part of EESW’s Girls into Engineering initiative. Female employees participated in a question and answer session with the young ladies and discussed their careers within Airbus.  The students also toured the Airbus A380 Factory, where wings for the giant aircraft are made and assembled. Flintshire Girls Visit Airbus

Airbus Visit Female students from Hawarden High School and Alun School, Mold, visited the Airbus Broughton site as part of the Girls into Engineering Scheme, run by EESW.  Students saw advanced engineering and modern manufacturing at work in Airbus’ West Factory, where wings for the Airbus A380 are made.  Beth Pickering, quality conformance engineering apprentice was one of the volunteer hosts.
